Bryan Moody overcame a knee injury last season to team up with Brent Olynyk
and qualify for the Olympics in men's doubles. "All of last year was
tough for him and he basically was out for most of 1999," said Olynyk. "He
played when he had to in order to make teams and assure himself the funding
but he missed out on a lot."
"Neither of us are very spectacular players," continued Olynyk. "We're
both really consistent. We changed our style of play when the new coach
arrived. Because we're average height we need to move around a lot more on
the court and have a counterattack style. It suits us well."
Besides their badminton passion, Moody and Olynyk are both guitarists in a
band named Full Frontal and they have some "semi-serious" ambitions to
pursue a musical career.
