Royal Caribbean has ordered a new cruise ship from France's Saint-Nazaire shipyard to add to its Oasis class, which currently includes the two largest cruise ships in the world. The new vessel will hold more than 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew members. At 361 meters long and 66 metres wide, standing at a height of 72 metres, the new ship will, like its sister ships Allure of the Seas (2010) and Oasis of the Seas (2009), include plenty of recreational spaces. A theater, an aquatic park, 20-odd restaurants, boutiques and a nightclub are among the entertainment offerings guests will be able to choose from. The latest technology will also be available on board. On Oasis of the Seas, for example, kids can be outfitted with a chip allowing parents to keep track of them throughout the floating city. Wifi and interactive panels detailing the ship's various activities and menus will also be part of the high-tech offerings, as with the other two ships in the Oasis class. The new Oasis is expected to arrive in 2016.
